According to Azerbaijani tour operators, Greece is a destination for the growing tourist market of Azerbaijan and has significant advantages over other European destinations. “The common culture elements of the two countries create the best condition for the development of close relations in tourism,” they said. Azerbaijani tour operators added that Greek hospitality along with the high level of tourist services could be an irresistible combination to attract Azerbaijani tourists to Greece. It was announced that the Greek Embassy in Baku, Azerbaijan, would organize a familiarization tour for the members of HATTA in the first half of 2009.
