Travelport GDS, one of the world’s largest global distribution system providers that operate the Galileo and Worldspan platforms, recently announced a new, multi-year full content agreement with Athens-based Aegean Airlines.

Under the new agreement, the airline will provide all Travelport GDS-connected travel agents around the world with its full, published inventory, including its former web-only fares.

According to Robin Ranken, business development director for Travelport, Aegean Airlines has grown exponentially over the last few years and is the largest airline in Greece in terms of passenger volume.

“We believe the extent of Travelport’s global footprint will really help us achieve our ambitious growth plans in the months and years ahead,” said Dimitris Gerogiannis, managing director of Aegean Airlines.

Aegean Airlines operates 47 domestic and international routes with more than 200 daily flights.
