Destinations news Piraeus Prefecture Suitable For Swimming by GTP editing team 1 August 2009 written by GTP editing team 1 August 2009 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 4 The Piraeus Prefecture recently announced that 74 bathing areas in Piraeus, the Argosaronic islands and Kythera Island are suitable for swimming after seawater samples were tested with a view to protect public health and the safety of bathers. More specifically, the areas and beaches safe to swim are located in Piraeus, Salamina, Egina, Spetses, Kythera, Methana, Poros, Hydra and Trizinia. According to laboratory results, not a single sample exceeded the limits set by legislation for various types of bacteria.
