Philoxenia 2010 greeting.

Tourism is one of the world’s largest industries.

In Greece, tourism is the sector with the greatest prospects for development, a unique opportunity for our generation.

Therefore, tourism development should be considered as a great national investment and as a long-term financial resource.

The first step towards the new era of Greek tourism development is to cope with the current crises and its circumstances. New ideas must be implemented with creative approaches to steer the tourism industry out of the crisis and put it on its way to progress and prosperity.

It is well known that Greece has an extremely attractive core tourist product. It is the responsibility of the State and of all tourist enterprises to add value to this product and promote it as the main competitive sector of the Greek economy.

A well-structured strategy based on feasible and time related objectives, strongly supported by the decision makers of our society is crucial.

Tourism is a dynamic and competitive industry that necessitates the ability to constantly adapt to customers changing needs and desires.

Those who are directly or indirectly involved in the tourism sector should work with consistency, professionalism and responsibility on the project called tourism development.

GTP supports the efforts of Greek tourism to this direction in a professional way. We would like to express our wishes for one more successful edition.
