Legislation on the matter should be tabled in early 2011. According to an announcement by the chamber, through the new arrangement, small hotel owners are to receive the same “treatment” as the owners of rooms-to-let and apartments on insurance issues. Mr. Koutroumanis has instructed the head of OAEE to allow a “period of tolerance” to the owners of small hotels, who are estimated at approximately 1,500, until the issue is settled through law.
