“We have honored hoteliers that have a good understanding of hospitality and of the demands of the Greek visitor…The game is won only with quality,” said the CEO of Manessis travel organization, Aggelos Lambrou, during the recent award ceremony of the Top 10 Hotels for 2010 at the B&M Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts & Music.

The Manessis awards ceremony was held for the second consecutive year and winners were chosen based on tourist preferences and Manessis standards.

During his speech, Manessis’ President Andreas Manessis said he was optimistic for the future as the political world has finally started to understand that tourism is a growth driver for the country that could contribute decisively to the solution of the crisis.

The Manessis Top 10 Hotels for 2010 are as follows (in alphabetic order): AKS Hinitsa Bay, Porto Heli; Aldemar Olympian Village, Skafilia, Ilias; Chandris Corfu/Dassia, Kerkyra; Chania Panorama, Crete; Dolphin Bay, Syros; Montana Hotel & Spa, Karpenisi; Platamon Palace Hotel & Spa, Pieria; Preveza Beach, Preveza; Sheraton Rhodes Resort, Rodos; and Sivota Diamond Spa Resort, Sivota, Thesprotia.
