According to the memorandum, the two agencies are to launch the second phase of the “Greece, a part of our soul” awareness campaign. The joint action plan will be valid for two years. The “Greece, a part of our soul” campaign was launched in late July and ran until 31 December under the Alliance for Greece group. (The group includes professionals from Greek communication sector organizations such as advertising, television, radio and publishing companies.) The GNTO also signed a memorandum of cooperation with Aegean Airlines last month that aims to attract passengers from Greece’s target markets such as Germany, UK, Russia, Spain and Israel. The agreement includes the display of the “Visit Greece” logo on Aegean’s aircraft, the linkage of the websites of the airline and the organization and advertising promotion of Greece domestically and abroad. In December 2010, the GNTO had signed an agreement with Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” to utilize the potential of air transport as a basic axis for the development of tourism products and high quality services.
