Westfield London, Europe’s largest urban shopping center, on 19-27 March featured a 1.500 square meter Greek Theme Park on its ground floor atrium and depicted all aspects of Greek tourism.

The initiative of the UK-based Greek National Tourism Organization office attracted some 750,000 visitors and introduced Greece’s unique characteristics as a major all-year-round tourism destination.

The Greek Theme Park was admission free and offered fun and educational activities that included digital presentations of the country’s culture, a great variety of Greek delicacies prepared by Greek top chefs, golf, live performances etc.

“We are claiming tourism growth from around the world but we continue our efforts to bring the best outcome for our country so that it could be integrated among the top destinations for the preferences of visitors from around the world,” Deputy Culture and Tourism Minister Giorgos Nikitiadis told the UK press.

“Visit Greece@Westfield London” followed the “Greek beach by the Thames” event that took place last June at the River Thames in London.
