At an event held in Athens, the company presented its new strategic action plan for Athens tourism for the 2011-2012 period that is included in the City of Athens’ development policies for the Greek capital. The new action plan includes a metropolitan alliance for tourism in Athens, the expansion of the Athens Convention Bureau’s activity and the development of a City Pass program. In addition, two new Info Point booths are soon to operate in the city -along with the existing booth at the Athens International Airport- on Amalias Avenue and Dionysiou Areopagitou Streets and at the Piraeus Port Authority’s cruise terminal. Furthermore, the company’s managing director, Alexis Galinos, announced ATEDCo’s plan to design a “mobility center” to serve Greek citizens and tourists in Athens for travel within the city.
