Under the title “Revitalizing downtown Athens” events that include concerts and theatrical performances will take place throughout the Greek capital along with varied and imaginative interventions in public spaces. According to the ministry, the aim of the events is to revive the city center so as to “strengthen a sense of optimism.” Organizations participating in the events include the National Museum of Contemporary Art, National Gallery, National Theater, National Opera of Greece, Athens Festival, National Book Center and Athens Concert Hall.
