In separate meetings with each tour operator the deputy minister discussed issues that concerned the organization and preparation for the upcoming tourism season and agreed to look into the potential to allow tour operators to assist with the visa issuing process. According to the minister, if tour operators prepare the necessary documents needed by every Russian citizen to obtain a visa, the required time of the process and the cost involved would be reduced. On their part, the Russian tour operators informed the deputy minister of the significant growth seen this year in tourist traffic from Russia to Greece.
