Yiorgos Pittas, author, hotelier and Hellenic Chamber of Hotels Board Member (second from left), was among the personalities honored with a Xenia award for his contribution to the promotion of Greece through his work. Mr. Pittas was honored for his latest publication “The festivals of the Aegean,” in which he describes festivals on 30 islands and expresses the spirit, meaning, religiosity and social life of the archipelago. The 43rd Xenia hospitality equipment trade fair was held in late November 2011 and, according to the organizers, experienced record attendance.
