Thessaloniki Hotels Association Cut New Year’s Pita

“Last year was very difficult, not only for the hotels in Thessaloniki but for the city as a destination in general,” Aristotelis Thomopoulos, president of the Thessaloniki Hotels Association (second from right) said during the association’s pita cutting ceremony last month at the Les Lazaristes hotel. Mr. Thomopoulos referred to the association’s initiatives for 2012 that include the publication of a guide-directory of Thessaloniki, the creation of an electronic platform for hotel and tour reservations along the lines of Stockholm, Paris, London and Milan, and efforts for more air links to and from cities abroad.
