Four Airlines To Fly State-Subsidized Air Routes

The four airlines to fly the 24 state-subsidized domestic air routes to remote Greek islands (agones grammes) for the four-year period 2013-2016 were announced last month by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority.

  • Aegean Airlines (one route): Athens-Skyros.
  • Astra Airlines (five routes): Athens-Sitia, Thessaloniki-Kerkyra, Thessaloniki to Chios, Samos, Kalamata.
  • Olympic Air (13 routes): Athens to Astypalaia, Ikaria, Leros, Milos, Kythera, Naxos, Paros, Karpathos, Skiathos, Kalymnos, Rodos-Karpathos-Kasos-Sitia, Rodos-Kos-Leros-Kalymnos-Astypalaia, Rodos-Kastelorizo.
  • Sky Express (five routes): Limnos-Mytilini-Chios-Samos-Rodos, Alexandroupoli-Sitia, Aktio-Sitia, Thessaloniki-Skyros, Kerkyra – Aktio – Kefalonia – Zakynthos -Kythira.
