Airline companies will not be obliged to pay aviation user fees at Greek regional airports for the rest of the year, the Infrastructure, Transport and Networks Ministry announced last month.

According to the transport ministry, the measure aims to increase scheduled, charter and commercial flights to Greece’s regional airports to boost tourism.

The aviation user fees, paid by airlines in return for services provided to them during the landing and stay of aircraft at all public airports in Greece, continue to apply for Athens International Airport.
