Operating hours for some Greek state museums and archaeological sites have been temporarily adjusted for the summer season until the process of hiring extra staff is completed, the Culture and Tourism Ministry said last month.

The following museums and sites are operating on extended visiting hours: Acropolis of Athens (daily 8am-8pm, weekends and holidays 8am-3pm); Acropolis Museum (Tuesday to Sunday 8am-8pm, Fridays 8am-10pm, Mondays closed); Akrotiri, Santorini (Monday
to Sunday 8am-5pm); Epidaurus and Sanctuary of Asklepios site and museum (Tuesday to Sunday 8am-8pm, Mondays 12:30-8pm), Pella site and museum (Tuesday to Sunday 9am-4pm, Mondays closed); Royal Tombs of Vergina site and museum (Tuesday to Sunday 8am-5pm, Mondays closed); and Spinalonga (Monday to Sunday 9:30am-4:30pm).

All other state museums will remain open daily 9am-4pm and the archaeological sites will continue to operate according to the winter time schedule 8am-3pm.

In addition, in late May, the ministry introduced special ticket packages at a reduced price that allow combined visits to multiple sites and museums.
