“We choose to hit the crisis with an extrovert policy and improvement of our services… Price reduction is not enough when it is accompanied by ‘cutting’ services as well,” the general manager of the Titania hotel, Vasilis Bougoulias, said last month.

During a briefing to tourism journalists on the prospects of tourism in Athens, Mr. Bougoulias said the hotel was adapting its philosophy to the needs of the times and dropping its prices.

Titania’s general manager said the hotel was investing in quality service for customers while also enhancing services, launching new events and appetizing themed festivals throughout the year.

Alterations made to the hotel to confirm a pleasant stay for guests include new technologies (WiFi, Nova platform and i-pads in all rooms) and additional restaurant menu options (incorporating dishes of Greek cuisine).

“Today, the Titania hotel, with 30 years of presence in the hotel industry, is a trademark in the center of Athens,” he said.
