Company updates Airfasttickets Sets High Goals by GTP editing team 1 September 2012 written by GTP editing team 1 September 2012 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 9 Airfasttickets PresidentNikolaos Koklonis. “My vision is for this Greek company, just as it has started to conquer the major countries of Europe, in two years time to gain a place among the first platforms worldwide,” online booking company Airfasttickets’ president, Nikolaos Koklonis said in late July. Mr. Koklonis presented Airfasttickets’ new and innovative (for European standards) website, set to launch this month, during the company’s first press conference since its establishment in 2009. The new website combines reservation platforms Galileo and Worldspan through Travelport Universal api and will offer consumers the opportunity to gain access to the best prices of both systems. The Airfasttickets platform automatically selects the best price at the time the request is submitted. According to Mr. Koklonis, users will be given the opportunity to choose from 200,343 hotels worldwide and other tourism services at affordable European prices. Since the start of 2012 Airfasttickets has secured contracts for more than 1,200,000 flights and aims for much higher numbers in the coming months. “What sets us apart from competition is our philosophy that we must have a physical presence abroad with offices and staff for the excellent service of our customers locally in each market and not simply provide a translation of our platform,” Mr. Koklonis said. Airfasttickets has offices in Athens, London, Berlin and New York. The company’s goal is to be the first Greek company to take the reins of the global market of e-tourism and proudly represent Greece.
