Thessaloniki Strengthens Ties With Turkey

The Thessaloniki Tourism Organization traveled to Ankara, Turkey, recently to promote the Greek Northern city to the Turkish market. Pictured are the organization’s director, Nikos Sapountzis, and the vice president of the Macedonia-Thrace Travel Agencies Association, Stefanos Chatzimanolis, while they address an audience of Turkish travel agents. This year visa entries to Greece from Turkey increased by 20 percent while the visa free entry regulation for Turkish students has given a boost to school trips in Greece.
