The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) started to recruit staff for its new “fast track service,” established for the faster licensing procedure of tourism investments, Greek daily Kathimerini newspaper said today, 4 October. According to Kathimerini, three departments with 28 posts will comprise the special tourism investment service. Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni had announced last month the establishment of the special tourism investment service to act as a “one stop shop” for tourism investments. In addition, Kathimerini said the GNTO would soon launch a tender for a communication plan aimed to promote Greek tourism to the UK and German markets entitled “GNTO strategy for the online/offline communication of Greece as a tourism destination.” The campaign is scheduled to run from December 2012 to May 2013. The UK and Germany remain Greece’s biggest tourism markets. Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
