The economic crisis has led to a decision to postpone this year’s 44th Xenia Exhibition that was scheduled to take place 30 November-3 December 2012 in Athens.

“After some four decades of successful exhibitions and parallel events and in respect of Xenia’s status and of our exhibitors, we have chosen to postpone an event that would lead to uncertain commercial results for all,” an announcement by Xenia Exhibitions-Conferences S.A. said.

The exhibition’s organizer underlined that already the lack of tourism investment had led many companies to shrink or close and that the economic crisis would continue next year with unforeseen consequences for the market.

Xenia underlined that despite “unbearable pressure” the company denied to alter its pricing policy, “in honor of our principles of equal treatment to all exhibitors.”

Xenia Exhibitions-Conferences S.A. was founded in 1968 and was the first private company in Greece to organize trade fairs and conferences.
