Exhibitions Dinos Astras, President Hellenic Association of Professional Congress Organizers (HAPCO) by GTP editing team 1 November 2012 written by GTP editing team 1 November 2012 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 10 Philoxenia 2012 greeting. Armed with positive thinking and a strong hope for something new, the Hellenic Association of Professional Congress Organizers (HAPCO) will be present at the 28th International Tourism Exhibition Philoxenia 2012. Given that HAPCO is a Pan-Hellenic association, every action —not only capable to promote the Greek tourism product but also to unite the industry’s entrepreneurs— is supported, particularly in a city —in this case Thessaloniki— that has rightly become a landmark for the exhibition and conference event sector in almost all of Northern Greece. After a difficult two years for the Greek meetings industry, which resulted in a declining number of conferences and events on a national level, the participation of businesses of every kind of exhibitions is essential, since these are business centers through which cooperation and exchange of views and ideas are encouraged—not to mention that both gain added value in times of crisis. Despite all the problems, tourism entrepreneurs should maintain their optimism and continue offering high quality services so that Greece can once again rise to the position it deserves on the world map. Besides, as we have mentioned in the past, crises create opportunities… So let’s get out of our “shell” and open up the market, because problems can not be solved without discussion. Let us seize the opportunity of meeting and networking, offered to us by Philoxenia, in the best possible way for our future!
