The Heraklion Port Authority was honored with the National Project Excellence Award during the 26th Intergrating Project Management Standards World Congress held 29-31 October on Crete.

The authority’s project “Home Porting, planning, development and operation at the port and airport,” won second prize for the positive effects on the local community and throughout the island of Crete.

“The international recognition of our efforts by a global institution is an honor for me and our port. It gives us strength to continue the effort and is the best answer to those who still do not understand that real growth comes slowly but steadily,” the port authority’s chairman and managing director, Ioannis Bras, said.
