Following a meeting between the ministry’s secretary general, Anastasios Liaskos, and the Association of Municipalities and Communities of Greek Spas, it was decided that amendments would be made to the existing law in regards to the identity of Greek thermal springs (characteristics, information, etc.) and the setting of their protection zone limits. The tourism ministry plans to focus on the promotion of spa tourism by including it within the Greek National Tourism Organization’s general communication strategy, a press release said.
