Mr. Liaskos underlined that the Greek tourism ministry is creating Greece’s new tourism identity “step by step,” with an emphasis on safety. “Safety for a stable economic environment. Safety for investment and tourism business. Safety for growth and competitiveness. Safety and anti-bureaucratic procedures,” the general secretary of tourism said. Mr. Liaskos referred to the ministry’s strategy planned for Greek tourism development that is based on: – Developing a modern institutional framework for tourism and its alternative forms (marine, medical, religious, sports, conference, etc.). – Supporting entrepreneurship through investment facilitation and the efficient use of NSRF funds. – Ensuring the quality of tourism infrastructure and services. – Investing in the human capital of Greece.
