The “Our Patision” project seeks to promote the historic, cultural and tourist features of Patision Avenue; showcase the old and new theaters, cinemas, multipurpose centers, squares and sidewalks; introduce new artists that live on the avenue; and show support to social solidarity institutions. The following events will take place at Kaligas square on Sunday, 16 December, at 11 am: 11 am – Musical Christmas tales from” DUO CAPRICCIOSO” (guitar, singing, storytelling by Athanasia Nikolakopoulou and Cleopatra Kirtata on the flute) 12 noon – The City of Athens Philharmonic joins Athens Art Network for a special concert that will include the presentation of the band of composer Marios Strofalis. 1 pm – Michalis Afolayan from the “ANASA” cultural center will present West-African nature folk tales using percussion. The Athens Art Network was established in 2012 by several independent art groups in the city to promote artistic volunteering to the fullest extent possible. The network cooperates with many other agencies in the city and participates in action plans. The “Our Patision” project is an initiative of the Athens Art Network and collaborators include the City of Athens, the Athens Traders Association and Technopolis. The project is supported by the Kaligas Square Citizens Union and the Kypseli residents group “Our Kypseli.” Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
