The trade show will take place 11-13 January. Over 600 exhibitors from Norway and abroad are participating in this year’s Reiselivsmessen. In 2012, the travel trade exhibition attracted some 41,200 tourism professionals and visitors. Greece is participating in this year’s Norwegian exhibition through the private stand of Oslo-based communication agency North Events Limited. The agency promotes Greek green hotels, culture and gastronomy in the Nordic markets. QR Code (quick response code) for the Lesvos Hoteliers Association. All exhibitors at the Greek stand will have their own QR Code so visitors at the exhibition can receive updates via their smartphones. Greece’s stand will include many hotels/exhibitors from Chania and Rethymno (Crete): Giannoulis Hotels & Resorts, Kalyves Beach Hotel, Kiani Beach Resort, Almyrida Beach Resort, Bio Suites Hotel, Atrion Hotel, Rethymno Mare Resort, The Peninsula, Atlantis Beach Hotel, Kriti Beach Hotel, Kyma Beach Hotel, Rethymnotels (Minos Mare, Minos Mare Royal, Theartemis Palace, Hotel Ideon, Sentido Aegean Pearl, Sentido Pearl Beach), Aquila Hotels & Resorts and Macaris Suites & Spa. Also, for the first time, the Lesvos Hoteliers Association is taking part in a Scandinavian exhibition to explore new markets and establish contacts with the tourism industry in Norway. Hotels from Lesvos participating in the trade show include Alma Hotel, Heliotrope Hotels, Sunrise Resort Hotel, Aegean Sun Hotel, Clara Hotel, Hotel Panselinos, Hotel Pasirhae, Hotel Silver Bay, Hotel Vicky I & II, Malemi Organic Hotel, Panorama Hotel and Sunrise Apts. P.RO.TOUR., the Rodos Tourism Promotion Organization, will also have a stand at the Reiselivsmessen travel trade exhibition to promote the island in the promising market of Norway. Green Tourism in Greece Through its participation in the Reiselivsmessen exhibition, North Events will continue its “Green Tourism in Greece” campaign and promote the Green Key hotels, the Blue Flag beaches and marinas. It is reminded that the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature manages the Greek Green Key and Blue Flag programs. The next stop of the “Green Tourism in Greece” campaign will be the international tourism exhibition MATKA (17-20 January 2013) in Finland.
