Travel Trade Athens is the signature trade event for the City of Athens that offers tourism industry and suppliers of the Greek capital a unique chance to showcase their services and products and meet qualified international buyers personally in pre-scheduled meetings. Greek businesses in Athens that will attend include hotels, tourism organizations, travel agencies, DMCs, conference and events organizers, car rental companies, catering companies, shops and department stores, museums and places of historical or cultural interest, etc. The 52 confirmed hosted buyers, mostly executives and representatives of large tour operators, travel agencies, online travel agencies, booking systems companies, bedbanks, conference and events organizers from Europe and the US, can be found on the updated hosted buyers list available here. The “Travel Trade Athens” event will include thematic visits around the Greek capital. Organizer Athens Development and Destination Management Agency invites all Greek businesses and professionals from the local tourism market to participate in the event. The event will also include a hospitality program and an extensive acquaintance program of the Greek capital to present the tourism portfolio and competitive advantages of Metropolitan Athens as a tourism destination. The hospitality program is supported by leading Greek tourism organizations that include the Hellenic Association of Travel and Tourist Agencies (HATTA) and the General Panhellenic Federation of Tourism Enterprises (GEPOET). Hotels supporting the event include Hilton Athens, Athenaeum InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Divani Collection Hotels, Electra Palace, Grand Bretagne, Metropolitan Hotel and Saint George Lycabettus. The event is organized by the Athens Development and Destination Management Agency in cooperation with the European Tour Operators Association (ETOA).
