A program of 33 individual distance learning courses in tourism administration will be held next month by the University of the Aegean by Dr. Andreas Papatheodorou, assistant professor in industrial economics with emphasis on tourism. The program is held under the auspices of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE). The individual learning courses fall into four broad indicative courses, namely: • K1 Theoretical approach to tourism • K2 Research methods in tourism • K3 Tourism development and management of tourism destinations • K4 Tourism business administration. Dr. Andreas Papatheodorou, assistant professor in industrial economics with emphasis on tourism, University of the Aegean. Within the framework of the learning courses, SETE will offer a 30-hour free seminar on “Tourism Policy in Practice” to the first 15 participants of each learning course. The learning courses begin on 25 February 2013. The closing date for applications is 15 February. Each course lasts 13 weeks (three months) that include 26 hours of communication between professors and students. The learning courses are available to university graduates and graduates of secondary and post-secondary education that have attended relative workshops in the past and/or have at least five years of professional experience in the tourism field. Each course is priced individually and separately. The cost of each learning course is 400 euros.
