The agreement covers all commercial airports in Greece for the handling of Ryanair flights. “The result of such agreements supports the Greek Tourism Development, which Olympic Handling is proud to be a part of,” the company said in an announcement. Ryanair is Europe’s only ultra-low cost airline, operating from 55 bases to 173 airports in 28 countries, with a strong fleet of 305, B737-800, carrying 79 million passengers per annum. The low cost airline started flights in Greece in 2010 from three airports and in 2013 it will operate from 10 airports with its first ever Greek base in Crete (Chania). Olympic Handling is the leading ground handling services provider in Greece in terms of network coverage and market share. In 2012, Olympic Handling served a total of more than 81.500 flights, carrying more than 10.5 million passengers.
