The new “Region of Attica-Athens LIVE” site (www.athensattica.gr and www.athensattica.com) has content available in both English and Greek language and contains particular features that make getting around Attica a simple task for tourists. Through the “Wish list” application, for example, visitors can organize their personal travel plan. This application rounds up favorite activities, attractions, places of interest, hotels, etc., all in one place. A “personal guide” can also be created and printed along with the city map with chosen places of interest. The portal also provides the “Attica Route” application that enhances orientation when searching for major attractions and informs on traffic conditions, strikes, etc. In the near future, visitors will be able to download the relevant smartphone application that allows easy navigation of data in accordance with the standards of European capitals. The portal will soon be available in more languages such as French, German, Spanish and Italian. The design and creation of the portal was carried out by MRM Worldwide of the McCann Athens Group.
