Greek and Turkish flagsThe Hellenic Association of Travel & Tourist Agencies (HATTA) is inviting Greek travel agents to attend a tourism forum in Ankara that will include B2B meetings between Greek tourism professionals and Turkish enterprises.

The forum, originally announced last month, will be held 28 February at the conference hall of Hotel Rixos in central Ankara by the Office for Economic and Commercial Relations of the Greek Embassy in Ankara in cooperation with Greek and Turkish travel agencies.

According to an announcement, this is the first major event on tourism in Ankara, which is expected to create a positive atmosphere and contribute significantly to the tourist flow between both countries ahead of the start of the season.

Already, Turkish enterprises from Ankara, Istanbul, Antalya, Izmir, Adana, Trabzon, Samsun, Sinop, Balıkesir, Muğla, Cappadocia, Redestos, Gaziantep and Konya, have expressed interest to form business contacts with Greek travel agencies.

Members of HATTA who are interested in participating, are requested to promptly fill out the entry form in English and return it to the Office for Economic and Commercial Relations of the Greek Embassy in Ankara (ecocom-ankara@mfa.gr) and to HATTA (hatta@hatta.gr) as soon as possible so the B2B meetings can be organized in the best possible way.

The provisional program, so as it stands today, is the following:

Thursday, 28 February 2013
15.00: Tourism Forum start
15.00-15.45: Speeches by Greek and Turkish representatives and Greek Embassy
15.45-16.00: Coffee break
16.00-19.30: B2B meetings
20.15: Gala dinner

Travel expenses and accommodation will be covered at your own expense.  The forum’s fee is 100 euros and an additional 50 euros will be charged to those who wish to attend the Greek-Turkish gala dinner.
