Iran Air Flies To Greece Again After Nine Years

Iran Air1The first of three scheduled Iran Air charter flights connecting Tehran, Iran and Athens, Greece, took place on Monday 18 March. Monday’s flight was the first direct flight of Iran Air to Greece in the last nine years.

The airline’s general sales agent in Greece, MidEast Travel, chartered the flight.

“This is an attempt to bring Iran and Greece back together, to boost incoming tourism in our country and for Iran Air to once again establish a direct connection between the two countries,” MidEast’s managing director, Katerina Mousbeh, said.

The next two flights will take place on the following dates:
• 25 March: Athens – Tehran and Tehran – Athens
• 01 April: Athens – Tehran and Tehran – Athens
