Monday’s flight was the first direct flight of Iran Air to Greece in the last nine years. The airline’s general sales agent in Greece, MidEast Travel, chartered the flight. “This is an attempt to bring Iran and Greece back together, to boost incoming tourism in our country and for Iran Air to once again establish a direct connection between the two countries,” MidEast’s managing director, Katerina Mousbeh, said.
