First Greek “Fast Learning” Program For Tour Guide Certification Announced

tour guide in athensThe first “fast learning” program that will provide tour guide certification to history and archaeology university graduates will begin next month, according to an announcement made today, 1 April, by the Greek Tourism Ministry.

The program will be held from 13 May 2013 to 15 July 2013 at the Ionian University on Corfu.

According to the ministry, the number of participants will be limited to a maximum of 40. The selection of persons to attend the program will depend on qualifications and social criteria.

Interested parties may submit applications and required documents to the Tourism Ministry until 17 April 2013 (further information: Department of Tourism Education and Training on tel. 210-3736182).

A fee will be charged to those attending the program. The amount will depend on the number of persons attending.

Further information on the program may be obtained from websites www.gnto.gov.gr and www.otek.edu.gr.
