High qualified American travel agents/tour operators (Group & FIT Agents, MICE specialists, home based luxury agents), trade show executives and US Press are re-discovering Greece these days within the framework of a networking event organized by the Hellenic American Chamber of Tourism (HACT).

This “2013 Greece Fam Trip–Buyer Program” is focused on introducing and increasing the product knowledge about Greece as well as re-establishing the country’s international appeal.

According to HACT, the fam trip aims to promote Greece’s tourism infrastructure with emphasis on Athens, the variety of services and products throughout the country, as well as introduce the alternative tourism and all year round activities.

In addition to workshops and presentations, the program is providing hands-on experience through hotel/venue inspections, cultural visits and networking events with Greek travel agents and hoteliers.

The “2013 Greece Fam Trip – Buyer Program” is taking place in Athens at the moment and will move on to Thessaloniki on Friday, 5 April, for two days.

GTP is the communication sponsor of the event.
