Posidonia 2014 Officially Launched

The 24th Posidonia International Shipping Exhibition will open its gates 2-6 June 2014 at the Metropolitan Expo, Athens, Greece, where once again Greek shipowners will welcome the international shipping community for five days of business, debate and social gatherings.

Last year, the stands of more than 1,870 exhibitors attracted over 18,500 buyers from 92 countries at Posidonia 2012. The Posidonia exhibition is organized in Greece every two years.

Extended conference, seminars and technical workshops

The popular 2012 program of main conference sessions, focused workshops and seminars will be developed at Posidonia 2014. Chaired by industry leaders, there will be lively discussion and debate on issues, challenges and opportunities facing the industry.

Posidonia 2014 will again host the TradeWinds Shipowners Forum at the Posidonia Conference Hall on Tuesday 3 June.

Work hard,play harder!

The social side of Posidonia includes two highly popular sporting events that play to the competitive spirit of the shipping community.

Organized by Posidonia Exhibitions in association with the Hellenic Offshore Racing Club, the 7th Posidonia Cup inshore yacht race gets Posidonia week off to a flying start on 30 May in Faliron Bay.

The hugely popular five-a-side Posidonia Shipsoccer Tournament fielded 24 international teams in 2012. On 1 June an enthusiastic crowd at the spectacular Karaiskakis Stadium will cheer the fourth event of this competition.
