When speaking to Cyprus News Agency, the airline’s chairman, Stavros Stavrou, avoided giving details in regards to a possible agreement. In an announcement yesterday, 9 April, Cyprus Airways reassured passengers that the airline “continues to operate smoothly” despite adverse conditions created in Cyprus and despite the problems the company is facing. “On the occasion of the disturbance created due to statements and daily reports on the company’s future, Cyprus Airways expects the government to make final decisions soon,” the airline said.
