Culinary Santorini Launches Cartoon Contest On Gastronomy by GTP editing team 10 April 2013 written by GTP editing team 10 April 2013 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 14 Let your imagination run wild and draw the most representative cartoon you can of Santorini’s gastronomy and maybe your creation will be selected and displayed in the Cartoon Exhibition announced by the Municipality of Thira to take place in May on Santorini. Santorini’s gastronomy is the theme of the cartoon exhibition that is organized within the framework of the “2013 Year of Gastronomy in Santorini” initiative. Get creative! The cartoons (black and white or colored with at least 300 dpi resolution) should be sent to cartoon2013santorini@gmail.com until 20 April 2013. Participants are requested to include a brief CV and personal details. A committee will select the five most representative cartoons that relate to the subject and creators will be awarded a commemorative plaque. Members of the committee: Christopher Asimis (artist), Christos Doumas (archaeologist), Vasilis Zorzos (architect), Yiannis Galaios (teacher), Dimitris Prassos (journalist) and Antonis Argyros (gallery owner). Participants will be informed on the cartoons selected for the exhibition. Cartoon Exhibition The exhibition will open on 7 May 2013 at 8:30pm at the Estia Cultural Center, Pyrgos, Santorini and run until 10 August 2013. Opening hours: 6pm-9:30pm The exhibition is held with the support of FECO (Federation of Cartoonists Organizations) Greece.
