Santorini’s Educational Seminars For Professionals Continue

santorini_logoThe Municipality of Thira will hold the second educational seminar on Santorini’s local products on Thursday, 18 April, at the Boutari Winery in Megalohori.

The seminar begins at 11am.

The seminar is the second of the educational series “The Wine and Local Products of Santorini in Contemporary Food Service” and is addressed to food service and hospitality professionals. The first seminar took place on 2 April.

The seminar series is held within the framework of the “2013 Year of Gastronomy in Santorini” initiative and held in collaboration with local producers and industry experts.

Through the seminars the municipality presents the key features of Santorini’s agricultural production and aims to show professionals the best way to manage and promote the island’s renowned wine and other local products.Santorini_wine

The duration of the seminar is three hours and time will be available for questions and clarifications.

Participation is free. A certificate of attendance will be given at the end of the seminars.

The third and last seminar will be held Tuesday, 14 May, at 11am at the Boutari Winery in Megalohori.

LE MONDE seminar for kitchen staff of restaurants

In addition, the LE MONDE Institute of Hotel & Tourism Studies will hold a seminar for restaurant kitchen staff on 17 May. Seats are limited and priority will be given to professionals that have successfully completed the seminar series conducted by the Municipality of Thira. Details of the seminar will soon be announced.
