Bookings by Greeks for the Easter holiday in some areas have even slumped by 70 percent, despite discounts made on room rates. According to press reports, in Chania, Crete, the decline in domestic tourism this Easter has reached 40 percent. On Kos, bookings made by Greeks are showing a 40-50 percent drop compared to 2012. On Milos, Greek bookings have dropped by 65-70 percent while a decrease in Greek visitors has also been mentioned for Corfu and Chalkidiki.
