Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras

Tourism is one of the Greek economy’s sectors hoped to benefit from Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras’ official 4-day visit to China that kicked off yesterday, Wednesday, 15 May.

Among the PM’s priorities is to hold talks aimed to boost the number of Chinese visiting Greece.

The group of 50 Greek entrepreneurs that are accompanying the Greek PM include many tourism professionals: Alexandros Angelopoulos (Vice President, Aldemar Group), Georgios Daskalakis (President and CEO, Travel Plan), Mari Daskalantonaki (Daskalantonakis Group), Fokion Drossos (CEO and Co-founder, MyOdyssey Travel Ltd), Achilleas Konstantakopoulos (President and CEO, TEMES SACosta Navarino), Magda Laiou (Member of the Board and Head of Incoming Committee, HATTA), Konstantinos Mitsiou (Chairman and CEO, Amphitrion), Andreas Stylianopoulos (President and CEO, Navigator Travel and Tourist Services Ltd), Maria Theofanopoulou (President & CEO of Danae Travel and Media Group; Vice president of Hellenic Association of Airlines Representatives-SAAE, Member of the Board of Directors, SETE; Member of the Board of Directors, HATTA), George Vernicos (President, Vernicos Yachts; General Secretary, SETE; Representative, Economic and Social Council of Greece) and Andromachi Zerzivili (Vice President, Aktina Travel S.A.).

During the Greek premier’s four-day trip, tourism professionals will have B2B meetings with local officials and heads of Chinese business groups.
