Travel agents from Russia and eight countries from Asia and the Middle East recently experienced Greece’s 5-star hotels, major sights and discovered the many options Greece offers as a tourism destination. The travel agents traveled to Athens via Istanbul and then visited Mykonos within the framework of a familiarization trip held by Athens-based MidEast Travel, which celebrated its 30th anniversary, and Turkish Airlines. On the last day of the fam trip, Mideast held a gala dinner at the Grand Resort Lagonissi that included an award ceremony for the sponsors, live music and Greek gourmet flavors. “We firmly believe that such initiatives are the best ways to advertise Greece and promote the Greek hospitality abroad,” MidEast’s managing director, Katerina Mousbeh, said.
