Mrs. Kefalogianni was is China last week (15-19 May) as a member of the Greek delegation headed by Greece’s Prime Minister Antonis Samaras. According to reports, the tourism minister gave a mini presentation from her own tablet of the first and brand new guide of the city of Athens in the Chinese language. The application is created for mobile phones and tablets and provides useful information to tourists visiting Athens and aims to enhance their travel experience in the Greek capital. The app can be downloaded from iTunes (China only) on smartphones or tablets from the end of May. The initiative is a result of the cooperation of the Tourism Ministry with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Centre for Hellenic Studies, located at Simon Frazer University in Vancouver, Canada.
