Initiatives HELMEPA’s New Summer Campaign Slogan Announced by GTP editing team 24 May 2013 written by GTP editing team 24 May 2013 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 11 “Do the right thing… place all your trash in the bin” is the 2013 “Seagull” slogan that will feature across the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association’s (HELMEPA) summer campaign, the association recently announced. The slogan was selected following a contest HELMEPA held on Facebook in April. Among the scores of submissions received from participants nationwide and after forming a Top 10 of entries, Zoe Stavridou from Thessaloniki was announced to be the lucky winner. Besides being given the credit of this year’s slogan authorship, the lucky winner was also offered the special gift of a complete beginners sailing course, kindly donated by the Hellenic Offshore Sailing Club (HORC). However, Ms. Stavridou handed over her prize to one of her fellow competitors and so it was drawn among the remaining 9 in the Top 10. Following a draw, the sailing course was handed to Evgenia Vogiatzidaki from Athens. So, this summer “Do the right thing… place all your trash in the bin!” Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
