Sofitel Holds Cooking Competition

Sofitel Athens Airport recently held a cooking competition at the hotel within the framework of the 3rd Festival of French Gastronomy that is taking place in Athens.

chef_contest_82The chefs that won the competition are Theodoros Ypsilos with the dish Lentils from bouillabaisse with saffron marinated sea-bream bass, compote fennel with leek, cauliflower puree, baby vegetables and bouillabaisse sauce and Alexis Karapiperis with the dessert Cream coconut passion on a crispy oatmeal base with coconut foam and caramel.

The jury consisted of renowned French chefs Jean-Marie Hoffman, Olivier Campanha, Jean-Louis Kapsalas, Luc Grégoire, Jean-Charles Metayer, and Dominique Perrot.

The 3rd Festival of French Gastronomy is taking place in Athens until 21 June.
