For the sixth consecutive year, citizens in Thessaloniki protested against car culture and requested the creation of a safe biking network throughout the city.

“We face automobile traffic with our naked bodies as the best way to defend our dignity. Our body is the most natural thing we have and it is definitely more beautiful than the exhausts of our cars. In today’s society, the naked body is a product of exploitation of an entire industry. Release it!” the organizers said.

World Naked Bike Ride is an international movement, in which some 70 cities around the world participate. The first ride took place in Vancouver, Canada, in 2004.
