Mr. Kaklamanakis was the final torch-bearer at the Opening Ceremony of the Athens Olympic Games in 2004. During his tour in Messinia, he will give an optimistic speech entitled “Life Journey,” through which he hopes to pass on his love for the sea and Greece to young people. Guests of The Westin Resort Costa Navarino and The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort will have the opportunity to meet the Olympic champion and listen to his speech, which will focus on “how to rely on our own strengths and even overcome them.” He will also hold a special sailing training session for younger guests, aged 13-17, to pass on the principles of good seamanship.
