recyclecreta maris_kidsCreta Maris Green Team recently invited the private kindergarten of Hersonissos, Junior Academy, to spend the day in the resort’s areas on the occasion of Recycling Day and to increase awareness and encourage the residents of Crete to contribute all they can to maintain a clean environment.

Children were informed about the effort to protect the environment by recycling trash such as glass, oil, paper, light bulbs, appliances and batteries.

The 70 children, aged up to 5 years old, visited the garbage sorting and recycling areas of the resort and saw how a large company can easily give a help the planet.

Following, the kids spent the day in the resort’s organic field where they visited the animals and picked zucchini from the garden and eggs from hens with which the chef later prepared for them a traditional Cretan recipe “sfouggato” to eat.
