Event News U.S. Choir Live At The Foot Of The Acropolis by GTP editing team 28 June 2013 written by GTP editing team 28 June 2013 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 6 On 29 June at the foot of the Acropolis in Athens, New Jersey’s Harmonium Choral Society will participate in a melodious choir program that will include works by Monteverdi, Mendelsohn and beloved melodies of Greek composers. Athens will welcome 35 members from New Jersey’s award winning choir, who will perform under the direction of Dr Anne Matlack. The choir makes appearances around the world and collaborates with major symphony orchestras. The Harmonium Choral Society, accompanied by Greek choir “Melodi,” will perform at the Ionic Center in Plaka at 8pm. “Melodi” is a mixed voice Greek choir with a repertoire that includes works of Greek composers, who have marked the history of the Greek song, and also some masterpieces from Greek cinema.
