The cargo development department of Athens International Airport (AIA) and representatives of the local cargo community once again exhibited together at the international fair “Air Cargo Europe 2013” held in Munich on 3-7 June.

This joint approach was used as the ideal platform to promote the airport’s initiatives in regards to the further improvement of cargo flows, simplification of Customs procedures as well as the generation of additional cargo.

Amongst the other participants, the airport’s team brought together representatives from Cargo Star, Go Freight, Goldair Handling, Olympic Handling, Speed Air and Swiftair Hellas.

In the context of the promotion of extroversion and synergy, AIA also hosted representatives from the wider transport and telematics industry, laying special emphasis on the promotion of Greek exports, multimodal traffic and Greek logistics in general, such as Tasos Vamvakidis, commercial director of PCT SA (the Greek Cosco affiliate) and Spyros Olympios and Konstantinos Xaniotis, representatives of “Up Greek Logistics,” the private initiative to promote the competitiveness of the Greek logistics services.
